And the Crap Continues....

Well I've just about had the Shittiest week, and it's only WEDNESDAY!!! Sunday evening I was on my way home from the student center with Roddy bear in the passenger seat of my little T-bird. It's dark and it's raining, but I'm used to dreary weather, so it's not bothering me, especially with Rod there to talk to and keep me company. All of a sudden, this little 8pt buck comes down the hill on my left and runs right into my car. He smashes the right headlight assembly, somersaults across the hood leaving multiple dents, flies off of my car, skids across the road like a rock skipping water, and slides down the hill on the other side of the road. Then the little bastard has the audacity to get back up and scamper away!!! You'd think that after all that, he's at least DIE and let me have some VENISON!! But NOOOOO!! So, I had to call dad and tell him that the car had been hit by a deer (and it was hit by the deer, not the other way around) and he says that he'll look for another Headlight assembly for me online.

Then, Monday evening I get a call from my parents, saying that my grandma has been in a car accident and they're heading to Alabama because she has been careflighted to Birmingham and has been put into intensive care. My 80 year old grandmother for Goddess' sake!! It was caused when an old man in the oncoming lane had a stroke and drifted over the center line, creating a head-on collision with her car. They give me a call later saying that she has a cracked sternum, a bruised heart, bruised kidney, 2 broken ribs, her left lung has collapsed, her abdomenal wall is torn, and a bit of her colon was torn as well. AND THAT WAS JUST SEAT BELT TRAUMA!!! She also has a mild concussion. They did surgery on her at midnight to repair her colon and abdomen, but there was a very possible leakage and things could get horribly infected. They still have to go in again to make sure everything was repaired, but they have to wait until the swelling goes down. On the plus side, she was cognizant of everything around her when the accident happened. She was awake and talking to the paramedics in the ambulance and the helicopter on her way to the hospital and was even able to tell them the medication she was on and how to contact her family members. For being 80, she's actually been in VERY good health over the years, and the doctors even said that if she hadn't been in such good health, she probably would not have made it this far. The prognosis is good, for her, though. It'll be a long road to recovery, but they say she should pull through completely.

And if that doesn't make things suck, I think I'm coming down with the flu, or something, but that seems so small in comparison to everything else that's been happening. They say that bad things happen in threes, so hopefully things will start getting better after this. I could really use some good things right about now. I'm just grateful to have a loving family and good friends that I can rely on. Thank goodness I have Becca and Rod especially, even though Rod's in Chillicothe right now.

On another note, Greg, I'd really appreciate it if you'd completely forget about my blog and stop posting. No, I don't want to be friends with you, No I don't want to sit down and "talk about old times". I'm at a point in my life where I'd just be happier to forget about the illusions you once led me to believe. I'm glad that you aren't quite the person you were; that means the Goddess will have one less person to SMITE. However, that does not mean I like you any more than I did a few weeks after we broke up. I'd just rather you not try to contact me any more....AT ALL! Get it through your head that I just don't want to be friends with you any more and I'm not taking you back. The sex was not good enough for that. If fact the sex really sucked. Just move on and let me get on with my life...WITHOUT YOU!!!

*sigh* Now that I've vented, I think this is a pretty good time to end this latest post. Talk to you all later!!

Happy Chrismahanakwanazaka!!!! (Even Pagans too!!)

Otay, so I get a phone call from my dad at around 10 pm on Tuesday, the 21st of Dec. He says that there's a big storm coming in and he wants me home immediately. (My original plans were to leave on X-mas eve and stay until the 27th.) So after a bit of last minute preparations and running about the house like a chicken with its head cut off, I finally get the pets loaded up and start driving at about midnight. It's a very good thing that my dear daddy watches the weather channel, because at 7 am the next morning, it begins to snow. By about noon, we have close to 4 inches. No biggie, right? Well, by 7 that evening, we have close to 12 inches. Still no biggie, this is Ohio, after all. But by the next morning, the snow had poured down on us and the wind caused huge snow drifts as well. At 10 0'clock Thursday morning, we had 3 feet of snow piled around our house. In someplaces it had drifted to 4 1/2 feet. Well, ok. So we're stuck inside for Christmas. Fine with me! I get to sit around and drink hot cocoa, right? Wrong again!! Nope, my Dad hands me a shovel and my brothers and I get to start on the driveway. lol. It seemed like a hopeless cause, until a kind person driving past with a plow attached to his pickup truck plows us out the rest of the way. It's so nice to know there are still good Samaritans out there.

So I call Rod after the shoveling the drive. The snow missed them completely, but in exchange, they got all the ice. The sleet was so strong, that it broke power lines, and the plant was forced to shut down operations. Some 400, 000 homes were without power for about 3 days because of that--Roddy bear's included.

So aside from the depressing weather, everything else was pretty good. I got the Mandolin that I wanted for Christmas. What else....? Some nice sweaters....not a lot. While I was home, Misty got some really great socialization. He was letting everyone hold him, and I even got to pet him for about an hour!

I left and came back to Nelsontucky Wednesday, the 29th. Rod and I cleaned the living room and the big gaming room. They are now spotless, and I am so much happier with them!! Now all that's left is my bedroom, for me to clean. I'm forcing Becca to clean the Kitchen and I told Scott that he had to clean the bathroom. Unfortunately, Scott's version of clean is different than mine. eeewwww.....

So, New Years day came and went. Rod, Becca and I went to visit a friend. We all played pool and watched anime and drank spiced rum. mmm.....I tell you what, you put a shot of Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum in a can of Pepsi and it tastes just like Pepsi: Holiday Spice, except better! It was so yummy, I had about 3 of them. And I was so proud of Becca, she took 2 shots of rum, on her own. The first time was amusing, she coughed and hacked because she let it touch her tongue, but on the second one, she didn't cough nearly as much. LOL. I ended up getting pretty dizzy, so I finally went upstairs to chill out for a bit. Once my head cleared, we watched some more anime and then went to bed.

Other than that, nothing else has really happened. Classes started today and my first class--Horse Program Management--was cancelled because Tina is in Florida. lol. Yay for me! Oh well. That's about it. I love you all and I can't wait to see everyone. Until next time, bye!!
